How a QR code for your car works
A car parking QR code is a small sticker on your windshield or dashboard. It holds your vehicle number, car model and phone number. When someone is blocked in, they scan it with their phone camera and get a page with one-tap Call and WhatsApp buttons. They do not need an app, and you do not need an account.
- Choose Car Parking and enter your vehicle number and car model.
- Add your phone number. Turn on Hide phone number if you want only a Call button on the page.
- Press Create QR Sticker, test it with your own phone, then print it on sticker paper.
Where to stick your car QR code
- Bottom corner of the windshield, on the inside of the glass, so rain does not damage it. Check your local rules on windshield stickers.
- On the dashboard facing out, or on the rear window as a second sticker.
- Use waterproof sticker paper or laminate the print. Pick Medium (5 cm) or Large (7 cm) so it scans easily through glass.
What to put on a car parking QR sticker
Add your vehicle number, model and colour, and a short message such as Back in 10 minutes. Skip your home address, ID numbers or anything private. Anyone who scans the QR can see what you enter.
